Rupsagar Park Comilla Cantonment, Comilla

How are you all? I hope everyone is well. I am also well, Alhamdulillah. I like it very much because of traveling. I like it a lot, I travel whenever I get time and always try to visit the tourist places of our country and know a little about those places. I liked this competition today. That's why I decided to participate in this competition. And I was very encouraged by the participation of many people in the competition, they participated very beautifully. The place that I traveled to today and will share with you is called Rupsagar Park.

Location Overview

Rupsagar Park is located within the Comilla Cantonment, which is run by the Bangladesh Army. The cantonment area can be entered from Comilla city through the cantonment gate. Comilla Cantonment is located on the western side of Comilla city, very close to the Dhaka-Chittagong highway. The distance from Comilla city center is about 5–6 kilometers. It is about 100 kilometers southeast of Dhaka and about 160 kilometers northwest of Chittagong.

History or Background

Rupsagar Park is a modern amusement park, which was built inside the Comilla Cantonment by the initiative of the Bangladesh Army. Rupsagar Park is not associated with any ancient kings, wars or historical stories. It is mainly built for the army families and their guests. The entry of the general public from outside is limited and cannot be entered without permission. I originally went there through a friend of mine. Because his father was in the army, they got permission to go there. There are no tickets available there, only the army family is given a ticket and everyone can enter by showing that ticket.

Scenery and Landscape

The pond of Rupsagar Park is a beautiful, calm and sparkling artificial lake, which is called "Rupsagar" because of its beauty. The greenery around it, the walking path, the bright environment and the water lamps are its main attractions. In fact, it was very big and there was a system for walking around the lake, due to which people get a lot of pleasure when they go here and their mind also becomes fresh. Moreover, they have created a very beautiful sculpture in the middle of this lake where there were many horses and they have also installed a fountain in the middle of the lake. Due to which the lake looked much more spectacular. And the view of the lake was so beautiful that it was a very beautiful landscape view that made the mind feel good. There were no facilities for any kind of animals, wild water, or zoos.

Activities Available

Since this Rupsagar Park was not a public park, it was only for the army and their families. That's why there were no such activities there. Only the lake where people used to go around was where people used to go around the entire lake on speedboards. People used to go around the entire lake on speedboards and people used to enjoy a lot of fun and joy there. When we went there, we saw quite a few people riding a speedboard together and going around the entire lake. This was the only activity there. If it was a public park, there would have been quite a lot of activities. Because in our country, public parks have quite a lot of activities for children. There was only speedboard rides here.

Facilities and Amenities

There were many places to rest inside the park. In one part of the lake, centered around the lake, there were many circular steps where people could sit and rest and enjoy the natural beauty of the lake. And this place was my favorite and most enjoyable place. A very cold wind was coming from the front and we were all sitting in front of the lake and were resting for a while after walking around a lot. Since we were all together, we all sat there and chatted and talked. There were also various small houses that were beautifully made so that people could sit and rest for a while. We also went there and took some photographs.

There was a very nice restaurant inside this Rupsagar Park. The restaurant was of very high quality and tasteful. The restaurant looked very nice and the whole view of the restaurant was very nice. They sell good quality food there but the prices of those foods were a bit high. That's why we didn't eat there anymore. After leaving Rupsagar Park, we had food at a food stall outside the park. But I walked around inside the restaurant and saw everything and took some photographs there.

Best Time to Visit

I think this Rupsagar Park is the most perfect for winter. Because in winter, many types of flowers bloom here, this park is decorated with different types of flowers, that's why this park looks great. It seems as if Rupsagar Park really looks new. And when I went, it was a very good time and it was winter. There were many types of flowers blooming there, which looked very attractive. There were different types of flowers, roses, rangoon flowers, etc. decorated with flowers. Since I went there at the end of winter, I saw different types of flowers. I was very happy to see the park filled with flowers. Below I have shared with you some pictures of flowers photographed from there.

Tickets and Entry Rules

There is no permission for the common people to enter this Rupsagar Park in Comilla Cantonment. No common people can enter here. This park has been created only for the army and their families. Only their families and relatives can go here through the army. I am not from the army family, but still I entered there and roamed around and the reason for that is that I have a friend. His father works in the army and the army family and the army requires a separate ticket to enter this park. That ticket is provided by the government to each army. However, those who are relatives and family members of the army have to buy a ticket to enter and the ticket price is 100 taka per person. And this place is maintained very well by the government so that no outsider can enter there. The security here is very strict.

Personal Experience

My experience at Comilla Cantonment Rupsagar Park was very, very nice. Because the place is very beautiful and clean, since a certain number of people can enter here, the place was clean and tidy. Besides, the place was very quiet, peaceful and beautiful where everything seemed wonderful to me. I spent quite a lot of time there with some of my close people and I really enjoyed spending time with them there. I especially liked the lake there and the flowers arranged there. Overall, it was a wonderful park where it would be very beautiful and sweet to roam around with the family.
