Steem Atlas Ambassador Bi-weekly Report – Auguest(1-15) 2025

Greetings Steemit Community,

Steem Atlas continues to grow each day, and it's great to see how users are embracing it. As I always say, this is an exciting initiative designed to create a global travel map powered by the Steem community.

Well, I don't regularly share an Ambassador report, mainly because I couldn't promote it as much in Sri Lanka due to the small number of active users. Anyway, I continued working towards its development through various activities. So, when I feel I have done something worthy for the project, I thought to share my work.

The first half of Auguest, 2025 has been very exiting for the project as well, for us as the Steem Atlas Ambassadors, with new initiatives.

Now the @steem-atlas account has grown over 565K SP, and hopefully, with the new Delegator Reward Scheme, we can go to #1MnSPgoal soon. First of all, I invite you to join hands with us on these initiatives.

Verification of posts and guiding users

The most important task I did in the last month, as always, was reviewing posts. Now with the new voting system, new posts coming to the Atlas map are reviewed within 24 hours for a productive run. And we, ambassadors, are also compensated thanks to the project initiator, Mr.Pensif.

With the less posts from Sri Lanka, I expanded my scope to the other countries without an ambassador. I have covered over 100+ pots in the last two weeks. It's still Indonesia, Venezuela, and Bangladesh users are most active on the map, and we can see many new users coming from the other countries as well.

As we are ultimately targeting the outside audience, the accuracy of the details, location, and the standards of the posts are highly considered. So, I checked the pin location through several sources, and review the articles based on these 21 Tips.

There are a few things we considered in the review, and essential guidance and tips were given whenever needed.

Contests

For the promotion of the platform and to get more engagement, I am continuously hosting a contest in the Steem Sri Lanka community. Now it's the 10th edition, and each week I receive a good number of entries from various countries. Here's a detailed report with a number of participants and rewards shared.

My Publications

I have been very active in these two weeks, not only by verification of posts, but also in sharing Atlas-related post.

Challenge Faced and Final Thoughts

  • Well, even though many users follow our standards, we can still see some posts not following the guidelines, even after the reviews. So, I suggest everyone follow the 21 Tips and attend to the Ambassador's recommendation ASAP to get a higher grade and votes from the curators.

  • As an Ambassador from Sri Lanka, unfortunately, there are a few users frequently posting on Steem Atlas and overall Steemit. Anyway, I hope the enthusiasm will grow, and I regularly encourage them to share their travel content.

So overall, it was a productive start to the month. I could actively engage in verification, posting, and discussing new strategies and initiatives within the group. I hope the upcoming weeks are even brighter.

Thank you to the Steem Atlas team and the broader Steemit community for the support.
