The Seoul Craft Museum, which opened in July 2021 in Anguk-dong, Jongno-gu, is Korean first public craft museum built by remodeling five old Pungmun Girls' High School buildings in Seoul.

The Seoul Craft Museum aims to become a dynamic platform to experience the technical, practical, artistic, and cultural values of crafts by studying and sharing not only crafts but also knowledge, records, people, and environment surrounding them.

The Seoul Craft Museum collects and holds more than 20,000 crafts and craft materials ranging from traditional to modern times, and is preparing a variety of exhibitions, programs, materials and systems, including craft history exhibitions, modern craft exhibitions, local craft exhibitions, children's craft exhibitions, craft archives, craft libraries, craft resource management systems, and craft installation projects.

The site of the Seoul Craft Museum is a place with a long history as a royal mansion or related to royal ceremonies, such as the house of King Sejong's son, Prince Yeongung, and the Anguk-dong Byeolgung Palace built for the ceremony of Sunjong.
It is also the central area of Jongno-gu, where the Joseon craftsmans('Gyeonggongjang') who made handicrafts and supplied them to the coffin, existed, and it is also a place where various cultural experiences are possible because Bukchon, Insa-dong, and Gyeongbokgung Palace are adjacent.
