Government Tolaram College (Narayanganj)

Tolaram College is one of the traditional educational institutions of Bangladesh and it is a government institution, this college was established in 1937 and Khagendranath Chakraborty was the founder and principal of this college.

Surprisingly, he started the class with only 5 students, and now the total number of students in this college is about 25 thousand.

This college is located on Allama Iqbal Road in the town of Chashara, Narayanganj, it is 70 meters away from the main road, so there is a good system to get there, people from far and wide come here to study, it is not only a college but also a university. As the college is affiliated with Dhaka Education Board and National University, many students study there.

There is a Dhaka-Narayanganj railway station, bus stand, and launch ghat next to the college which makes it easy for transportation. Many students from villages and other cities study here. There is also a women's hostel next to the college.

The college has the facility to offer Honors and Masters courses in 14 subjects of Higher Secondary and National University under the Dhaka Education Board, in addition, the college has its own (government) two buses for the transportation of HSC level students. There are opportunities to study BA, BBA, BSC, or BSS as an undergraduate, and MA, MBA, MSC, or MSS as a postgraduate. The total area of Tolaram College is about 7 acres.

Since it is a government college, the main building of this college is quite old and the rooms are very big, there are fans, whiteboards, chairs, tables and benches for the students in the rooms and the rooms are very clean so a separate garbage basket has been provided in each room for throwing garbage.

There is a beautiful veranda in front of the rooms and the doors and windows of each room are made of wood and designs of the previous day. All the buildings are of different heights, some are 3 stories and some are 5 stories. However, there are stairs for these buildings through which one can go up from the bottom.

There is a beautiful playground inside. In addition, anniversary programs and farewell programs are organized in this field every year. There are various types of trees on both sides of the field, the flowers look very beautiful among them, and a memorial pillar has been built inside the college for the independence of our country, which is where all the martyrs are paid tribute to during Independence Day.

There are some flower gardens in front of the Principal Sir's room and his room which are located on the side of the road, besides, there are flower nurseries and many types of trees in different places inside the college. It really adds to the beauty.

There is a notice board for all the information about the college and all the information is printed on paper and pasted there.

I have passed my honors from this college, but since our time, the beauty of the college has increased even more. There was no canteen earlier, but now there is a canteen inside for food, in which fast food and bread, banana snack items are available, but there are numerous restaurants outside the college, most people eat heavy food from restaurants.

There is a beautiful gate at the entrance of the college where the name of the college, the establishment, and 2 mottos are written on gate 1. Knowledge is light 2. Truly the goal. In this college, boys and girls study together, but sit in separate seating areas during classes and stay in the same room.

The college is open from 9 am to 5 pm and the weekly holiday is Friday. The college's EIIN number is -112478. There are 4 entrance gates to the college, one of which is closed and the other three are open and there are security guards inside each gate.
