Masjid Jamkaran & Qasr-e-Safeer-e-Hussain [Al-Mahdi a.s Complex] Chakwal, Pakistan
Today I want to share something really close to my heart a mosque in Chakwal, Pakistan. This place is not just a random mosque it’s connected to a lot of my beautiful memories. We have a house in Chakwal, which is actually where my parents grew up.
Even now, we still have that home, and right in front of it stands this beautiful mosque. It was built only about 4 to 5 years ago, so it’s pretty new, and I’ve seen it grow from the beginning.

The name of the mosque is Masjid Jamkaran & Qasr-e-Safir Hussain. It’s one of the most peaceful and lovely mosques I’ve ever been to. My aunt, who is an Alima (Islamic scholar), teaches children here.
She studied Islam deeply in Iran and completed her Aalimah course before she came back and started teaching here. That makes this mosque feel even more special to me.
The mosque is designed in such a way that both men and women have separate prayer areas, so everyone can offer prayers comfortably. Though it was built mainly for the Shia community, Sunnis are also welcomed with love and respect.
What’s really beautiful is that the design is inspired by the famous Jamkaran Mosque in Qom, Iran, which many believe has a deep spiritual link with Imam Mehdi (A.S). That’s why the same inspiration was used in building this mosque too.

It was completed around six years ago, and the name "Qasr-e-Safir Hussain" was given in memory of a loyal companion of Imam Hussain (A.S.) who supported him during the tragedy of Karbala. Just hearing the name brings a sense of respect and remembrance for their great sacrifice. This mosque brings people together not just for prayer, but to remember the true values of sacrifice, loyalty, and faith.

When you enter the mosque, the men use the left gate and women use the right side. As a woman, I entered through the right gate. As I stepped inside, I saw children sitting and learning. On the left, young boys were learning Quran from their teacher.
On the right, there was a separate room where little girls were sitting on prayer mats, reciting verses under the kind guidance of female teachers. Everything was calm and respectful.
There was a board on the wall showing the Namaz times clearly, reminding everyone about prayer timings. Whenever Azan is called, people leave their work and come to offer prayer with full attention.
Clean washrooms and a Wudhu area are available for everyone, with clean water, soap, and a message near the tap that says, "Water is a blessing don’t waste it." It’s such a thoughtful reminder.

Inside the main prayer hall, the floor is covered with neat prayer rugs, and the walls are decorated with beautiful Quranic verses and Islamic calligraphy. Cabinets are available to keep prayer mats and personal items safe.

There are chairs and even wheelchairs available for elderly people who can’t pray while standing. The Imam leads the prayer from the center area, and everyone follows in peaceful silence.

My aunt, who is a part of the mosque management, showed me the control room. It had computers and CCTV cameras to ensure the safety of the worshippers. A staff member is always there to monitor everything, which is important in today’s world.

The mosque also has Islamic items like Tasbeehs, Qurans, and Tabarrukats (holy relics) from Iran, Iraq, Makkah, and Madinah. Shelves full of Qurans are placed so anyone can read and return them. For girls, special prayer clothes and items are available.

Religious gatherings, especially during Muharram, are organized here. The mosque becomes a center of knowledge and devotion during these days. Scholars deliver emotional and informative speeches that guide people spiritually.
Special nights like Shab e Qadr and the Thursdays nights are observed with full dedication. During the holy month of Ramadan, this mosque fills with worshippers offering prayers and reciting the Quran with devotion.
This mosque is not just a place made of bricks and cement,, it is a symbol of ourr love for the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his family. It is a place of peace, unity, and remembrance.
The time I spent there was peaceful and inspiring, and I felt spiritually refreshed. I hope one day you all can visit such a place where faith and beauty meet.🤗🌼🌸I’m happy to show you this mosque and wish you all the same peace and blessings it brings.
Timing :
The mosque opens before Fajr prayer and remains open until after sunrise, when the children finish their Quran recitation and return home. It reopens later in the day and stays open until after Isha prayer.
On special nights like during Ramazan or other religious events, the mosque remains open all night for worship and spiritual gatherings. Throughout the entire month, the mosque stays active daily with regular majalis.
