Steemit Challenge Season 25 Week 01 - Sports Centers
Today I visited a local football field owned by the Federal University Lafia, but formally own by lafia town in Nasarawa State. It is a local football field where students go to play soccer.
History, Ownership, and Management
The football field was established in 2014, which was the same year the institution was established, and it is inside the university, which means it is owned by the university. The football pitch is established so students can play football whenever they want to. The field is under the control of the Dean of Student Affairs and the Students' Union government.
Exterior and Entrance
Since it is a local field that is open and not established for business purposes, there are several entrances to the field. There is no specific entrance to the field, and it is surrounded by bushes, and the main entrance to the field has been destroyed. There was a fence surrounding the field, but students had destroyed the place.
As for a jogging track, yes, there is one, and it is an open workout area that is big enough to accommodate people. Also, it is not only football that is played in the field, as there's a place for basketball, volleyball, and other games.
Interior Atmosphere
There is so much air in the place as it is an open place where air can come from anywhere. The field is quite old as the soil on the ground is not looking good, but despite how it looks, the place is people do come out in large numbers to play football and participate in other activities. The condition of the place is not too good for my liking because if a player should fall, then he or she might likely sustain an injury.
Programs and Services Offered
There are fitness programs, personal training, and tournaments in the field. As I have said earlier, it is a large football field for students and the community at large. Most of the time, students play matches with other students and the community as well.
