Hello friends I hope you are great I am here to take part in another interesting challenge that is Steemit Challenge Season 26 Week 02 - A Favourite Natural Tourist Attraction (Park, Mountain Walk, Scenic Spot)
Well!!!! I loved travelling and exploring the natural beauty of Pakistan, it was my dream and thanks to Allah I got chance to visit the lake Saiful Malook.
1. Location Overview
The beauty of Northern Pakistan Mansehra district of KPK and Kaghan valley is due to one and only lake Saiful Muluk. It's located at the 10,578 feet elevation from the sea level and called highest lake of the Pakistan.
If I talk about it's accessible to be very honest it's road and tracks are just hell I mean you have to recite Kalma tyabba throughout the way until you reached the lake.
We have to hired 4 wheels jeep and it's traveling is not comfortable I passed 30 minutes as I was dying every moment and finally when I saw the lake I forgot all the tiredness of the rougher route which is based on large stones.
The lake has beauty of capped mountain also the view of Malika parbat, it's rich beauty is due to glacier melt water and the colour appear turquoise-green. Therefore heavy snowfall can be seen in winter.
2. History or Background
When we arrived the lake saiful muluk after parking we met a person who was ready to tell the history of lake when I asked it's free or paid he said I charged 500 you give me whatever you like.
He told years back there was a Egyptian price named Saiful malook he falls in love with beautiful fairy Badi-ul-Jamal who he have seen at lake. This was lovely at first sight.
After this he tried to find her love and fairy and raced many difficulties. There pure love was immortal in the poem of mian Muhammad Baksh. Well I don't it was tale or real but I was inspired because we have read it in Urdu book in class 7 perhaps.
3. Scenery and Landscape
The scenery and the landscape of lake saiful malook are just mind blowing, when you are there you forget all the things because the lake beauty attracts you and you wanted to stay there for long time period but obviously we have to move back after spending 2 to 3 hours due to keep timing but it's awesome place to visit.
Where you look you find the beauty because screen water the fallen glaciers and the Ice on the mountain just attracts you green all around is this mind blowing at out of words.
4. Wildlife and Flora
The lake has tremendous amounts of blue green algae therefore brown trout and waterfowl. The flora is also diverse it has beautiful subalpine conifers moreover covered with alpine meadows. The poa alpine and trifolium are common there. The diversely of animals is well protected saiful muluk national park which have, Asiatic black bear, snow leopard, , and marmot.
5. Activities Available
There are different activities which we can enjoy there, the first one is jeep riding towards the way of lake although youngster liked it but women heart is not so to bear it.
The boating and horse riding is really fun I really loved it although it's nit expensive but it's alright obviously we have to enjoyed the beauty of lake. The sightseeing is mind blowing when you tired just sit and see the diverse beauty of nature and lake.
6. Facilities and Amenities
There are many cafes which has huge variety of food and drinks but it's bit expensive even if you wanted to have tea or fries it's very costly, the rest area is good they didn't charge money to Hiking can be enjoyable if you can.
The facility I liked there the girls of 10 to 12 years are there to carry children of age group up to 3 years and charged money 200 PKR to 500 pkr for visiting of lake and returning back to the jeep stop.
7. Best Time to Visit
I have visited this place in June anf it's best time to visit the lake in June to August to enjoy weather and lake beauty.
8. Tickets and Entry Rules
There are no tickets to enter in the lake it's free but you have to hire jeep to reach the lake and it's charges are 4000 for couple and we moved with another family and we paid 3000 each couple
4 people can move in a jeep easy.
The boating charges are varying it's from 2000 Pkr for one person for full round of lake half can also be done but you have to wait till it fills with at least 8 to 10 person if you have extra budget one couple can be moved by paying 12000 to 15000 PKR for complete round of lake.
The horse riding charges are 700 to 1000 pkr for single person same is for kids. There are no other entry or extra charges.
The photographer is available and I take 10 pictures in rupees 300 Pkr he captured it so nicely and had patience to waiting for your poses 😊 😊 😊.
9. Personal Experience
I really liked this lake and it's beauty. You must have sun glasses and caps or hats with you because the sun is harsh there I couldn't bear it much and I wore my husband hat. The availability of water should be sufficient as the things are very costly there. Moreover you should good cash if you wanted to enjoy the lake beauty in real sense.
I can still feel lake beauty and natural scenery because it was mind blowing.
