What can make our life change in a resounding way? The simple fact of studying the Bible in a sustained way transforms our mind and our life.

My son, do not forget my law,
And let your heart keep my commandments;
2 For length of days and long life
And peace will increase for you.
3 Let mercy and truth never depart from you;
Bind them around your neck,
Write them on the tablet of your heart;
4 And you will find favor and good opinion
In the eyes of God and men.

Proverbs 3:1-4

Let us remember that portion of the word of God when Jesus Christ told his disciples "I am the vine, you are the branch; he who abides in me and I in him, bears much fruit." Little by little, as we incorporate the plans of Jesus Christ into our lives, the Holy Spirit of God works powerfully in us and many things become evident in our lives, such as:
We begin by faithfully treasuring the word of God. When we study the Bible, we learn many things about all the attributes of our Lord, his nature, his plan for us, and also, very importantly, his promises. The constant study of the word allows us to learn to think in a biblical way and consequently develop a better and deeper relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. This allows for a transformation, a change in behavior as our thoughts change. Our decisions are based on his principles and values, and our actions reflect the fruit of the Spirit.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith,

Galatians 5:22

As we decide on God's plans in our lives, our lives are filled with acts of kindness and truth. These virtues do not usually accompany us constantly when we begin to walk according to the word of God. The Lord fervently desires that we always act with the truth and that love is characteristic of the children of God.

10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it abundantly.

John 10:10

The Christian life is a life full of challenges and that is with much abundance, we can choose which path to take, whether this one or the path of mediocrity and conformity. We can choose to identify ourselves with the fruitfulness that comes from the study of the word and follow Jesus Christ as Lord and faithful companion.
