Knowing God "A privilege"

There are many things that can bring us joy, but nothing surpasses the joy and contentment we find through a fluid, personal relationship with God.

But whatever things were gain to me, those I now count as loss for Christ. 8 And indeed, I now count all things as loss for the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For whom I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness that is from God by faith; 10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, 11 if perhaps I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.

Philippians 3:7-11

Regardless of how many of us know and how many of the things we accomplish in our lives, one of the greatest privileges on earth is knowing God. There is nothing greater than this that gives us the joy and fulfillment we so long for.
Knowing this, we often simply limit ourselves to seeking the acceptance of people or the world because we have lost sight of it, and we forget the great treasure and privilege of knowing God.
At the beginning, some people begin their Christian journey and the first thing they receive through God's grace is their salvation, leaving them satisfied with this first step. Even if they are asked if they know God, most simply respond with a resounding "yes." But let us remember that this is only the first step; there is a difference between having known God by receiving salvation and knowing God daily through the nourishment of the Word. As children of God, we need to nourish ourselves daily with His word, and this is what will give us knowledge of God. It will allow us to grow in God, not only to know Him but also to improve our relationship with Him, increasing our faith as well. We need to grow in God.
There are people who believe themselves self-sufficient and depend solely on themselves throughout their lives. God manifests Himself in the lives of those who desire to know Him, those who sincerely place their hearts aside, setting aside arrogance and pride.

3 And this is eternal life: that they know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.

John 17:3

Do you really want to know God? If so, open your heart to God, not for the good or benefit of God, since he knows us perfectly since long before we were born. Let us seek to know God for our own good, for our joy and to live fully in him. Little by little, we will discover the privilege we have of being close to him at all times.
