Let us approach God with confidence.

When we are in difficulty or in times when we find no way out, the most important and rational action is to approach God with all we have, and thus we will experience the sufficiency of His grace.
6 But He gives more grace. Therefore He says, "God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble." 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God; resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 9 Be afflicted, mourn, and weep. Let your laughter be turned into mourning, and your joy into heaviness. 10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he will lift you up.
James 4:6-10
We have the choice; we must always take the first step. We decide to surrender our lives to the Lord. We decide to draw near to God, and He will draw near to us. This is a wonderful promise. We simply need to draw near to Him in His mission and brokenness. God always has His love, His forgiveness, and His faithfulness for us. We can discover His sufficiency and also His abundance of grace toward us when we recognize our powerlessness.
Perhaps we fall into the error of thinking that we are the ones who initiate the relationship with God, but it is God who has made everything possible, who has created a path for us to follow. God has taken the initiative, and we are merely accepting what He offers us.
44 No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him. And I will raise him up at the last day.
John 6:44
There are times when we go through difficulties or complex situations and we overlook the fact that this is meant to get our attention and encourage us to approach Him with confidence. What at one point seems hopeless or painful can actually be an invitation to trust and place our faith in the Lord. Even our greatest failures can lead us to the feet of Christ if we humbly seek restoration, forgiveness, and God's love. We have the opportunity to break our own dictates and thus relate to God in a more intimate and close way.
That is why today we must reflect on our different situations. Does the most complex situation I am going through bring me closer to the Lord or further away from him? We cannot forget that we have an enemy, and he will always seek to keep distance between us and our Savior, while Jesus Christ uses any situation to draw us closer. Let us not allow the enemy to emerge victorious in the battle. Let us also remember the following:
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
James 4:7
