If we think about one of the most important resources of the Christian apart from faith, it is prayer.

14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.

1 John 5:14-15

Even though we know that prayer is a powerful weapon, we often hesitate when praying. It is necessary that we pray with confidence, let us remember that we belong to God, we are his children. Let us remember that because of our trust placed in Christ, we appropriate the redemption through his sacrifice, we become children of God and God hears our prayers.

Another very important point to have security at the moment we pray is that we must pray according to the will of God. Although this seems very difficult, we can see it in detail.

We understand that there are obvious actions that do not agree with the plan that God has for us, that is: If we deceive, lie, act with jealousy or pride, among other actions, we know that we are not acting according to God's desires.

There are six things that the Lord hates,
Yet seven are an abomination to him:
17 Haughty eyes, a lying tongue,
Hands that shed innocent blood,
18 A heart that devises wicked plans,
Feet that are swift in running to evil,
19 A false witness who speaks lies,
And he who sows discord among brothers.

Proverbs 6:16-19

There are many cases in which matters are insignificant, that is, we can choose or decide on our own what to do or not to do, for example what color clothes to wear or what hairstyle to wear. But how can we discover God's will in our lives?

7 Submit yourselves therefore to God; Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

James 4:7

We must submit our lives to the will of God, for this it is necessary that we study the word of God, there is where we find the will of God, we can know it and follow it according to the revelation of his word.

26 And in the same way the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.

Romans 8:26

It is important that we understand that the Holy Spirit of God works in us, reveals the word of God to us, intercedes in our prayer, helps us in weakness and much more.

Let us align our prayers to God according to his word and never forget that God not only listens to our prayer, God answers our prayer. God is pleased to answer our prayers.
