Resisting the temptations and tendencies of sin.

If we want to resist the temptations of sin, it is not necessary that we fight against them all the time. The solution is to spend time reading and meditating on the word of God.
For I do not want you to be unaware, brothers, that our fathers were all under the cloud, and all passed through the sea, 2 and all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, 3 and all ate the same spiritual food, 4 and all drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank from the spiritual rock that followed them, and that rock was Christ. 5 But with most of them God was not well pleased, so that they were cast down in the wilderness.
6 But these things happened as examples for us, so that we should not desire evil things, as they did. 7 Neither be you idolaters, as some of them were, as it is written: The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play. 8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day twenty-three thousand. 9 Nor let us put the Lord to the test, as some of them also tempted Him, and were destroyed by serpents. 10 Nor let us grumble, as some of them grumbled, and were destroyed by the destroyer. 11 Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, on whom the ends of the ages have come. 12 Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall. 13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to mankind; but God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
1 Corinthians 10:1-13
In his perfection and vast power he has established different limits with the simple fact of protecting his children since he knows perfectly the dangers of disobedience. His word warns us well so that we do not give in to temptation and sin but that we obey the Lord.
We live in a world that teaches us that satisfaction exists in different positions such as only in wealth, in status, in having fun with friends while we understand that the objective of our enemy is to distance us from God using something very similar. Let us remember that temptation began with Adam and Eve. God had given man access to the Garden of Eden, however, he set a limit for them, that they should not eat the fruit of a single tree, they simply crossed that limit that God had established and ate fruit that they should not.
Satan used doubt and deception to achieve his purpose, he planted a seed of rebellion against the creator, and sin begins there. Everything is presented with great attraction and apparently good. The enemy's tactics have not changed. Today they are exactly the same as the days of Adam and Eve. We are not immune to facing the same type of temptation, whether it is with an apple or anything else.
But the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, "Did God really say, 'You shall not eat of any tree of the garden'?" 2 And the woman said to the serpent, "We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden; 3 but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God said, 'You shall not eat of it, nor shall you touch it, or you will die.'" 4 Then the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die. 5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.
Genesis 3:1-5
Fortunately we have the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the word of God and thus find our refuge, our protection to resist in those days when temptation arises. We must refocus in the direction of God, get to know Him more and thus rely on His promises and obey all His recommendations.
13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make a way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
