We have eternal reward in God.

God sees all things, and in him we have rewards.

What then is Paul, and what is Apollos? Servants through whom you believed, and that according to what the Lord gave to each one. 6 I planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the growth. 7 So then neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but God who gives the growth. 8 And the one who plants and the one who waters are one and the same; though each will receive his own reward according to his labor. 9 For we are God's fellow workers, and you are God's field, God's building.
10 According to the grace of God given to me, as a skilled master builder I laid the foundation, and another builds on it; but each one must take heed how he builds upon it. 11 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 And if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, 13 each one's work will become clear. For the Day will reveal it, for it will be revealed by fire. And the fire will test each one's work of what kind. 14 If anyone's work remains which he has built upon it, he will receive a reward. 15 If anyone's work is burned up, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as by fire.

1 Corinthians 3:5-15

Do you have God in mind as a rewarding God? The word of God teaches us that God also honors us and rewards us with actions and attitudes as simple as simply giving a person a glass of fresh water, as well as for acts as transcendental as a martyr's death for Christ. The important thing here is to observe that our God does not overlook anything at all.

21 And his lord said to him, "Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things; I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your master.

Matthew 25:21

Let us observe these rewards, which have been described as praise from God. These rewards are greater responsibilities in the kingdom of God and, above all, a special share in the joy of the Lord. Throughout God's word, we also find rewards like a crown that God will bestow upon those who have lived faithfully for the Lord. These rewards are the result of the fruit of love and service on this earth, that capacity we develop, reflecting the glory of the Lord here on earth, and being rewarded for all eternity.

The greatest reward for the believer is the Lord Himself. Today we live a relationship with Our Lord that we cannot see, but we will have a perfect relationship, face to face with the Lord forever, above all, with nothing coming between us. In this world we are enjoying the Lord, but it still falls short of the riches and gratification we will have in heaven, enjoying a much more intimate communion.

All our actions, our attitudes, and our life here on earth will determine the measure of our reward, what we will receive, whether good or not, in the life to come. Today we live for the Lord, we enjoy the blessings here on earth, and finally we will have the honor of laying our crowns at his feet. I invite you to live each day here on earth as a great investment opportunity for eternity with the Lord.
