ATONEMENT BY THE BLOOD

images.jpgsource The wonderful plan of redemption was made from the beginning. God willed and desired the salvation of man from the time the first man and woman disobeyed God in the garden of Eden. God made man higher than all other creatures of his hand, giving him dominion over all things He created. Man was created in God's own image, after His own likeness "And God said, let us make man in our own image, after our own likeness" (Genesis 1:26). The perfect, holy, sinless, merciful and righteous God imparted His nature into man. Adam and Eve were in that perfect state before they yielded to temptation and disobeyed God on what He commanded them not to do.

"And i will put enmity between thee and the woman and between thy seed and her seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head and thou shalt bruise his heel" (Genesis 3:15). Here we have the first prophecy that Jesus would come to this world to redeem mankind and defeat our enemy. In Matthew 26:28. Jesus said " For this is my blood of the New Testament which is shed for many for the remission(removal) of sin. " The lord said again that " therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign;Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a Son, and shall call his name JESUS: for He shall save his people from their sins" (Matthew 1:21). Jesus came for a purpose , and that is to save man from sin. Why was it necessary?
images (1).jpgsource Sin brings death. " The soul that sinneth, it shall die" (Ezekiel 18:4). This is spiritual separation from God but because of the love of God, He gave Jesus as a substitute who had to die in our stead to save us from our sins.
We are told in the word of God that "the life of the flesh is in the BLOOD: and I (JESUS) have given it to you upon the altar, (Calvary) to make atonement for your souls; for it is the BLOOD that maketh atonement for the soul" (leviticus 17:11). Many today bring the good work of their hands to atone for their sin (like Cain) and others shed the blood of animals to redeem them from their sins. The Bible says a man is not justified by the works of his hands( Galatians 2:16). Justification is not by the giving of tithes, or by giving money to beggars and to the motherless, neither is it by fasting. But all things were by the law purged by the blood; yet you cannot be purged by the blood of animals. " For is is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats should take away sins" (Hebrew 10:4). "Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by His OWN BLOOD, HE entered in once into the holy place, HAVING OBTAINED ETERNAL REDEMPTION FOR US" (Hebrews 9:12). "And without shedding of BLOOD (Blood of JESUS) is no remission ( Hebrews 9:22). No labour of our hands can atone for sin. ONLY THE BLOOD OF JESUS.images (3).jpgsource
