God is with you when all is darkness.
At some point, we have all crossed paths or journeyed through darkness, moments when we understand absolutely nothing, and fear and uncertainty seem much greater than us.
But today, through this verse, God reminds us of something extremely important and powerful: the light always comes, it always makes itself seen, no matter how dark or long the night, no matter how lost or confused you feel. God always lights a light and breaks through all the darkness.
That light illuminates the path and also fills the heart with new hope. You are not alone in the darkness. That light will soon open your eyes, and the radiance will allow you to see more clearly the path you must travel. Every step, every trial, every tear, every moment of suffering was not in vain. God is the light that transforms darkness into a new purpose in life.
The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwell in the land of the shadow of death have seen a light shine upon them.
Isaiah 9:2
