The importance of relationships.

God shows us through this text the great importance of relationships in our lives. Here, the example is how iron sharpens iron. This means that people strengthen and shape each other when we engage in relationships.

Relationships and friendships directly influence our lives, our character, and success. Therefore, it is important to understand the people around us. It is important that they build us up and challenge us to continually improve.

Let's keep in mind with this biblical example that friction, although it may seem bad, is necessary. We see that iron sharpens iron through friction. We can apply this to a relationship of friendship that not only supports and helps us, but also corrects us to improve every day.

We can be those who are sharpened, or we can also sharpen others. This means we can encourage others to improve.

Iron sharpens iron;
And so a man sharpens the face of his friend.
