We, all the people of Bangladesh, are mourning the plane crash since yesterday. On the afternoon of July 21, a training fighter jet crashed into Milestone School and College in Dhaka. According to the news, the number of injured in the accident so far has reached about 170, many of whom, including 78 children with burns, are hospitalized and awaiting intensive treatment at the Burn Institute, CMH, Dhaka Medical College. Yesterday's accident was very traumatic for everyone. That's why today is a day of mourning.

Why did the accident happen?

According to sources, the plane encountered a mechanical failure shortly after takeoff. The pilot repeatedly reported engine trouble to the control tower and requested an emergency landing. But at that time, he lost altitude very quickly and lost control, causing the plane to crash directly into the school building.

The most painful thing is that all the victims in this accident were small children. According to the news, at least 25 of the 31 dead were children, one was a teacher and the pilot was Flight Lieutenant Md. Taukir Islam Sagar. A teacher, Mehreen Chowdhury, who rescued about 30 children and died on the way to the hospital due to 100% burns. This has deeply shocked all of us.

The particularly tragic news is that one of the deceased students is a resident of Mirzapur Upazila of Tangail district. It is located in the area next to my area. A movement has spread against the accident. Students, parents, and teachers have issued a six-point protest list demanding national justice and compensation. They want the names of the deceased to be clarified, the list released, the Air Force to withdraw the old aircraft, compensation, and a safe area.
