I think recent events have proven once again that it's not about intelligence or human reason. As it was written in a book, and this is something that I had a very hard time realizing and accepting about the world we live in: "Logic exists only in mathematics."
I would also say that a lot of things go against my value system, but it is what it is.
I was reading again recently about how history repeats itself and there is no century without wars, I guess. We live with the consciousness only of the world wars of the last century, but what came before that?
And the world is not only developing forward and upward, but rather it is revolving in a circle of recurring events - pandemics and wars, rebellions and regime changes, while the human mind is meanwhile being used to discover and create the next weapons of mass self-destruction...
