There will be no diseases
Yesterday I read a very strong and true sentence, which, I am sure, 98% of the population of the Earth is not aware of. It was written as a comment under an advertisement for DNA tests in some laboratory in Bulgаria. And not only are the prices of such tests, understandably, extremely high here, but many people also know what is happening or could potentially happen to the data banks in such a laboratory and where these people there make even more money. But anyway, the comment was this: "Modern medicine and pharmaceuticals have advanced a lot, but there are still healthy people!" It's funny, isn't it, it's impossible not to laugh even... at this truth.
But today I thought I would start my post in a different way. It doesn't sound the same as this above, but at the same time it's the same. Or at least it touches on the same problem and is the same at its root.
I "love" it very much and it often happens that I read about certain diseases the following: no treatment has been found to this day, or the cause has not been found, this is not known, that is not known...
Wait a minute, where have you been so far? Humanity has been dealing with these diseases for so many centuries, some of them are suffered by everyone at one time or another in their lives, others are suffered by almost everyone at a certain time of the year, more and more people are starting to suffer from a third type of disease, only a part of the population suffers from a fourth, but these diseases have been known for a long time, at least for decades. And, nothing.
From a simple flu, 290,000-650,000 people die annually, and there is neither a unilateral and categorically developed solution for the treatment of this virus, nor do vaccines against it work. As far as I remember, in Bulgaria during covid, as many people died per year as from the flu in general, and probably for this reason, no one is testing for covid anymore, even when young people, even nowadays, vaccinated or not against covid, continue to die in hospitals "from pneumonia" or "from a bacterial disease."
I feel like there hasn't been a single development or discovery in medicine or pharmacy since the discovery of penicillin that has truly helped the masses live well. And here comes the ironic realization of the following thing that very few people have reached during the last pandemic. If we haven't been able to deal with even the flu so far, let alone other diseases that have been around for so many decades or centuries, how can we believe that a few months will be enough for a few pharmaceutical companies to develop something that will help and then the whole world, forcibly or not, will be forced or convinced to use this thing because it "saved lives"? Only a person who has never been truly sick and has not faced the powerlessness or unwillingness of the entire healthcare system with all its units to help him would naively believe this.
Recently, in connection with my condition, I learned from my GP that every health insured person in Bulgаria, regardless of age or gender, is entitled to one single referral to a specialist per year.
As I told you, health insurance in the country is mandatory. You have to pay it, regardless of whether you are unemployed, sick, hungry or homeless - oh yes, the state does not care about that or where you will get this money from. I have involved lawyers enough times in my relations with the Health Insurance Fund and the Revenue Agency, when they did not even want to recognize my paid insurance in a European Union country and on other occasions for legal elimination of obligations.
But God, you are obligated to pay this insurance, and you get nothing in return. Then, a few days ago, we were informed on the news that the health insurance fund does not cover biomarker tests for cancer. Which leads, you know, to a trial of this treatment, then others, third and fifth, unbearable for the patient anyway, because everything is paid for by him. And all this simply discourages people from visiting doctors, the symptoms worsen, diseases drag on for years, people learn to live with them, or simply die. Because the system is not designed to help people.
And when/if you do manage to muster up the perseverance and get to a specialist, he gives you the wrong diagnosis or treatment, you have to go to a second or third doctor, you usually pay for everything and often all of this leads to nothing again.
Oh yes, we're flying in space. We're developing artificial intelligence that's based on natural intelligence, and natural intelligence is lame everywhere anyway. We're focusing on things that are more likely to destroy us than save us or help us. After so many decades and centuries, one would really think, because it's logical, that after so many technological discoveries, we should have secured our base by default, and as I mentioned before, that we have secured our basic needs and they are fully covered - electricity, water, food... and healthcare. At least, the most basic things that are needed to build on everything else.
No one can convince me that after building such complex computer systems, machines and technologies, we are not capable of finding a cure for one disease, for one single simple disease.
That is simply not the focus of human development. And ultimately, when humans are replaced by machines, there will be no diseases.

Nowadays, this blog no longer exists, but I'm still here - passionate about architecture, art and mysteries and eager to share my discoveries and point of view with you. |
Personally, I am a sensitive soul with a strong sense of justice.
Traveling and photography are my greatest passions.
Sounds trivial to you?
No, it's not trivial. Because I still love to travel to not so famous destinations.🗺️
Of course, the current situation does not allow me to do this, but I still find a way to satisfy my hunger for knowledge, new places, beauty and art.
Sometimes you can find the most amazing things even in the backyard of your house.😊🧐🧭|
