RE: Launching SteemFunds

in #steemfunds7 years ago (edited)

rob chen 50px.png Awesome initiative!

It would be really cool if we could all get together and brainstorm how we can best help all the projects floating around get successfully funded.

In four months, what I've learned is that a typical campaign on my site would need over 5,000 upvotes to get fully funded; also while there is a transfer option, many users see STEEM as an investment so it's understandable that visitors want to hold onto their investments.

I'm thinking SP delegations is the way to go like you said, but maybe there's another method that has yet to surface?

Sort:

We all went about it different ways when building our crowdfunding communities, @hyperfundit and @fundition built the apps first, we build the community first and I support it with any available Steem Power from all TaskManager related projects. I even diverted some to fundition, making me the #2 backer (#1 if you add in support from the TaskManager umbrella accounts). They have a great application but a complete lack of community.

@Fundition has a beautiful looking application for sure, but they ignored my attempt at communication so far. I didn't take too big a look at hyperfundit though as the application required it's own login (last time I looked anyways).

Ideally we would like our application to give a small portion of rewards to the @upfundme team to ensure everyone involved has the proper ambition levels due to rewards. However we could forgo the application, and onboard the upfundme community to another application, but that application would have to support @upfundme at least close to how our own application would have. The idea being @upfundme can grow to the point that it doesn't require the support of all of the TaskManager projects Steem Power to fund people, and have it actually help fund the TaskManager projects like @prizeportal. I have my time and money split up between a lot of projects so progress seems slow, but bits to the puzzle are coming together. I am willing to allow someone else to put in the pieces, so long as they fit.

If either of the two teams want to work out some sort of arrangement they can contact me at steemtaskmanager@gmail.com.
@taskmanager

rob chen 50px.png So good to hear from you both! @upfundme and hightouch from @fundition.

@taskmanager The upfundme tag has gained so much traction! Amazing and I think it's very smart of you to build the community first. Regarding the hyperfundit site; while I'm keeping the account creation traditional because we also want outside influencers to signup, you can now use steemconnect for transfer transactions and no acc is needed to give an upvote.

hightouch @fundition the fundition site is beautifully designed, I was very impressed when I saw your trending post 2 weeks ago. I too was surprised to learn that our platforms are so similar, that means we're both onto something! ;)

I believe we can do so much good together @upfundme and @fundition. Right now I believe the focus should be on raising awareness about crowdfunding as an option on steemit in general, this is to include all our sites and the upfundme tag. @taskmanager please please continue developing the upfundme site, the more options, the better!

At the end of the day we all share the same vision, to get these project creators funded. I will DM you both to discuss the best way to go about it!

Looking forward to chatting more! :)

Yeah, we should! That's actually the part of entrepreneurship that I enjoy the most. I like to figure out solutions to problems and getting the right people together to get a job done. I'm short on funds at the moment but I'm resourceful. I love to dig in and research. Let's talk more about how we can work together. You and Iris are awesome and I'm so glad we got a chance to meet.

Y'all know where to find me and we're in the same time zone. Reach out any time.

rob chen 50px.png Yes, I agree! Great thing that you made the decision to attend the conference :D

We can definitely work together, let's set up a call this weekend or after? We also miss chatting with you :P

Hi,

I m glad to discover @hyperfundit, and it's strange that I never heard about it since today.... I really appreciate the idea behind the platform which is similar to Fundition.
But we will definitely go far away and I agree to talk together to see if we can collaborate in some way.

@upfundme, sorry but I never saw any attempt, and I reply to each DM. Did I miss it ?
You can contact me or any associates on discord.

Cheers,

I'm probably in the spam folder of your email inbox lol.

But yeah you can disregard, I decided to support crowdfunding on both #upfundme and fundition.io with or without #upfundme integration into the fundition.io application. I set up @upfundme.net to support crowdfunding on all these applications to allow @upfundme to focus on mainly supporting crowdfunding through #upfundme.

The upfundme.net domain will eventually be a portal for STEEM crowdfunding based services. A user can reach their goals faster if they are using all available resources from each of the communities.

What we all need is some success stories to add under our belts, that's part of the reason why I shifted some power towards fundition goals, to prove we can crowdfund more than blockchain solutions on our blockchain.

@tipu send tip!

I am so encouraged by the conversation that’s happening here.

Feeling good about bringing you three together 😀
