RE: I need your valuable opinion please! VOTE : Should I hunt Cheetah with my own SafariPoaches bot?

in #steemgigs8 years ago

My complaint with cheetah is when I quote the link in the post a cheetah comment stops the bots from voting.
If I give credit for the quote I shouldn't get commented, imo.

This issue is being worked on / mostly fixed. Can you link to your post where this has happened recently?
It should only comment if the quote is a significant portion of the post (e.g. looks like you're just "quoting" the whole thing and doing nothing else)

If there's complaints about other bots not voting, talk to the bot owners and tell them to up the smarts of their voting logic. I can't control how other people vote! :)

Thanks for clarifying that there is a 'significant portion' standard, I had suspected as much, but wasn't certain.

As it is the link is clearly credited:

Is there a keyword or something to use for the link credit to clue in the bot?

I'd think it is probably a high percentage shot to set one's bot to not vote anything cheetah comments,...

It looks like in this case the vast majority of text in the post was the source. So the best way to avoid the comment, is to add some commentary about the quoted text (e.g. discuss it, add your own thoughts, etc).

Yes, thank you.
