Passion fruit is loaded with nutrients that help the body stay healthy and strong. Let me show you some of the benefits

It is full of vitamin C, which helps the body fight off sickness and infection

You will find them being sold by fruit sellers, usually in baskets or bowls. Some supermarkets also sell passion fruit, especially in the fruit section. The price depends on the season during the harvest period, it is cheaper and more available at about 2 hundred naira each in Nigeria market
Sometimes you can buy it fresh or already blended into juice. Many people prefer to buy the fruit and make their own juice at home.
How it’s Cultivated in Nigeria
Passion fruit is grown in Nigeria, especially in areas with enough rainfall and sunshine. Some of the states where it is commonly grown include Benue state,Plateau, Kaduna, and some parts of the South West Nigeria
The plant grows as a vine, which means it climbs and spreads. Farmers usually plant it using seeds or young plants. The vines are supported with sticks or wires to help them grow upwards. In about 5 to 8 months, the plant starts producing fruits.
Passion fruit farming is becoming popular among Nigerian farmers because it brings good profit and does not require too much space to grow.
If you come across it in your market, try buying some. You can eat it fresh or blend it into a juice. It’s one of those fruits that taste great and keep you healthy.
