SLC26-W6 - "Cold Appetizers"
It is very true time wait for no one, the challenge of yesterday is now on week 6, time really flies.
I warmly welcome you to the Last week of season 26. We have learnt alot about Appetizer,The last week come with cold Appetizer,I really appreciate that. I studied and understand the contest of this week challenge, there after,I was motivated to carry out the week task.
What do you understand by Cold Appetizers?
From my understanding, cold appetizer are dishes served at room temperature typically before the main dish. Some of them are sweet, while others are savoury. They are often light and refreshing. This course help me to understand that all appetizer should be between small portion of 2-3 bite of a.light meal before the main food.
Here in my environment, we have enjoyed different types of cold appetizer, Such as fruit salad, shrimp cocktail, assorted cheeses with cracker and Greek salad.
The best thing about this meal is that it is easy and simple to prepare. It can use during special gathering like wedding, holiday parties and lot more.
Make any one cold appetizer of your choice in detail ,step by step with pictures . You can add ingredients of your choice too .
Ingredients required
- 6 Raw egg
- Mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh dill
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Baguette slices.
In a clean dry pot,I wash my raw egg and and boil it. After few minutes, I peel and chop into smaller pieces as required in the challenge.
In a clean Pan, I added baguette 🥖,I set up low heat and toast it.
As you can see, baguette slices is toast from both sides.
I bring my chopped and added the remaining ingredients which was mayonnaise, dill, black pepper, and salt, I stir it and mixed everything together.
On each toasted baguette slice, I spread one teaspoon. At this point,It was appealing to the eye.
Dear friend come close, Yummy egg salad with baguette slice is ready to enjoy.
Do you face any difficulty during making the recipe?
This week challenge is simple and straightforward challenge. I did not experience any difficulties because I followed my teacher's instruction on how to do it tactfully.
To make new things, it is advisable to abide by the rules and instructions given. Using the same measurements will help attend to a pleasing results. Currently, I am familiar with different appetizer, I have practice and different types appetizer and enjoy it.
What is the approximately cost of your cold appetizer.
In preparation of the cold appetizer, the approximate cost was ₦3400. Here below is the breakdown of the cost both in steem and in Naira.
