SLC26-W6 // "Oatmeal and Raisin Cookies"

I'm taking part in the learning challenge, It is my first time of making oatmeal and raisins cookies and I'm so excited that the results was very appealing to the eye.

Remember, this is the last week season 26, I have enjoyed alot about Cookie time. Please go through as I answer the required questions and carry out practical.

Make oatmeal and raisin cookies; you can make the recipe presented in this class with the indicated quantities or you can vary the quantities, essential ingredients to use oat flakes, you can use another type of dried fruit, according to availability, (detail the step by step for preparation.

In preparation of oatmeal and raisins cookies. We need the following ingredients.

• Melted Butter
• Wheat flour
• Raisin
• Chocolate chips
• Sugar
• Eggs
• Baking soda
• Vanilla essence
• Oats
• Cinnamon powder

In a clean dry bowl, I place my butter and melt it, I added brown sugar, eggs, vanilla and I mix it very well.

Thereafter I continue the mixing process by adding flour, cinnamon and baking soda.

My next step was adding of rolled oats, raisins,chocolate chips or pieces, I properly mixed till all the ingredients are integrated.

I cover the dough with wrapping paper and refrigerate for two hours.

After 2 hours my dough was hardened, I form a ball of 60 grams,I place them on a baking sheet covered with baking paper.

I bake at 180°C for 30 minutes.I remove when it becomes golden brown.

It was a successful moment to achieve a desired goal.

What are the benefits of using rolled oats in our cookies?

Did you notice that this is the only cookies that has chewy and Hearty texture? Did you also notice that this is the only cookies that has nutty and slightly sweet flavour? It was because of the rolled oats.

Oats is rich in fiber, It has a whole lot of health benefits. It contains antioxidant, Potassium, lower cholesterol levels and help in weight gain management.

Oat helps in reducing the amount of sugar absorption in the cookies making more palatable. This oatmeal cookies give steemians the opportunity to eat something delicious and healthy at the same time. I really enjoyed it

In my opinion oatmeal and raisins cookies is one of the excellent cookie,I just recovered, l can't hold back my special thanks to @mvchavin for teaching how to prepare different cookies 🍪.

I love the combination of hearty oat and sweet raisin. The texture was soft and crunchy, the cinnamon flavour complement to sweetness.

They're very soft but have a nice texture—not too mushy. All of my family members like and cherish it. I package it inside my children Lunch, I enjoyed it in school. I can't wait to prepare more and add to her bag. We have included cookie among our favourite snack.

With all these cookie recipes that you have learned in this course, would you like to start in the world of cookies, or will you only stick with what you have learned to prepare cookies at home?

This question has given me second thought. Hehehehe, Cookie is widely seen and consumed. From season 26, I have learnt and practice different types of cookies. All of them, come out with excellent results. If I venture into world of cookies l will definitely excel.

Currently, l can't start the business right away because of my work schedule and secondly I am still a beginner, I need to explore more on cookies world.

I strongly believe that with time,I will take it as my side hustle. Here in my environment, most snacks are loved and cherished and cookies will never be an exemption.
