Hello chefs,


Today I am going to share with you a delicious Sri Lankan sweet made from semolina. It is very easy to make and very tasty.

Before we talk about this, let's know a little about semolina.


What is semolina?


Semolina is a coarse flour made from durum wheat, a type of wheat.
It is used for bread, pasta and porridge and this flour is dark and golden in color. It also has a soft, earthy aroma.

So now let's get to the recipe.


INGREDIENT


  • Semolina 200g
  • Sugar 200g
  • Desiccated Coconut 100g
  • Vanilla 1 tsp
  • Butter 2 tsp

🍪 First, fry the semolina in a low flame. When it turns light golden in color, remove from the stove. Then fry the coconut in a low flame for about a minute.

🍪 Then caramelize the sugar and add 1/2 cup of water to it and add coconut to it and mix well.
Then add vanilla syrup to it and mix well. Then add semolina to it and mix well.

🍪 Then add some butter to it and remove from the stove. Quickly cut it into pieces on a buttered plate.
Then keep it until the heat is reduced and separate the cut semolina toffee.

Now our semolina toffee is ready..😍
