Homemade Tomato and Basil Ketchup
I didn't know that I would make this ketchup after seeing it in some supermarkets here in my country, as such I want to greatly appreciate the organizer of this learning challenge for this wonderful topic.
I want to present my practical steps on how I arrived at my yummy basil tomato ketchup.

Direction for preparation
I started my Basil ketchup with 1kilo of properly washed tomatoes to remove impurities so that it will be good for my ketchup preparation, like I have listed my ingredients which includes tomatoes,black pepper salt, sugar,water,red chili, vinegar, olive oil, cloves, cinnamon sticks,basil leaves .then I proceeded with cutting of my tomatoes into small pieces with my sharp knife.
My ingredients are well arranged in a tray, my basil leaves is washed as well to remove dirt.
The next is my chopped tomatoes in a clean pot then I added half cup of water into it and put on my low flame to cook for for seven minutes after it has boiled and become soft ,it was ready I removed the pot from the flame and cover to cool , when I checked and it was cool very well I turned it into my tomatoes blender so that it can blend to smooth, it was blended very fine.
I proceeded to filter the blended tomatoes , after filtering all the water out , I set back my pot to continue with the other ingredients,
I put the basil ketchup in a pot and added the 2tbs of olive oil and lower the flame ,I added the cloves and cinnamon sticks and fry the lightly,then I added the ketchup liquid to it . My basil leaves is already chopped and set aside,
Next I put the black pepper,salt,redpl pepper powder,my vinegar, sugar the cooking started again on a low heat, after sometimes it started thickining to my taste ,I off the fire and added my chopped basil leaves so that the basil leaves can incorporate its taste to the ketchup for an excellent outcome and benefits.
At the time my ketchup has cooled down, I took the pot down and filtered again to remove the cinnamon, cloves, red chili seed and other ingredients that I used.
At this point ladies and gentlemen, my yummy and attractive basil ketchup is ready. Very appealing and appetizing . I filtered it with my clean net cloth.
There no time to waste my basil tomato ketchup completely is ready , I poured it in a clean plate and add fresh basil leaves in the middle for decoration. I love the outcome by tomorrow I will use it with my slice .it was already late after the presentation.
