SLC25-W5 // "Coleslaw Salad"

I am @saifuddinmahmud from Bangladesh. I am excited to join this learning challenge. The challenge name is Coleslaw Salad. The challenge organised by honorable @dasudi. I am going to join this challenge. I hope everyone will like my post.

In the 5th week of the Learning Challenge, we have come up with a tasty salad item. I am sharing this salad recipe with my Steemian friends.

The ingredients we need to make the salad are:

Cabbage 100 grams
Green apple 1 pcs
Mayonnaise 3 tablespoons
Mustard 1 tablespoon
Ground almonds 2 spoon
Raisins 1 spoon
Carrot 1 pcs
Lemon juice 1 tablespoon
Sugar 2 tablespoons
Salt to taste
I have prepared the necessary ingredients.

I chopped the cabbage into small pieces. Then I washed it. After washing, I soaked it in water for 10 minutes.

I washed the carrots, peeled the skin off, and then chopped them into small pieces.

I washed the green apple, peeled it, and then chopped it into small pieces.

The cabbage, carrots, and green apples are ready. Now I will make the dressing.

To make the dressing, I took 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise in a bowl. 1 tablespoon of mustard and added 1 tablespoon of lemon juice.

Now I will mix all the ingredients together well. I will mix it well until it is mixed.

After mixing well, I will add 2 teaspoons of sugar and salt as needed. Then I will stir well again.

My dressing is completely ready.

Now I will take a medium pot. In that pot, first I will add the chopped cabbage, then I will add the carrots, and then I will add the green apple.

I mixed them a little. Then I added 2 spoons of almonds and 1 spoon of raisins.

After adding all the ingredients, I made a paste. Then I added the dressing that I had prepared earlier.

After the salad was ready, I put the ingredients in the fridge for 15 minutes so that they would freeze well. Then I ate it. Oops, it was incredibly delicious.

After adding the dressing, I gently mixed it well. My salad is ready.

In our country, cabbage is mostly eaten as a winter vegetable. It is mostly harvested in winter. That's why I couldn't collect purple cabbage.

I was very happy while making the salad. I really liked every ingredient of this salad. So after making the salad, it was so delicious that I didn't wait to mix it with anything else and eat it. My son and I started eating it with a fork. I added nuts and raisins as additional ingredients. When the almonds, green apples and raisins were falling on our teeth, we felt a nectarine taste of the salad. So I ate it as a main course.

The benefits of carrots:

  • Carrots are rich in vitamin A. Vitamin A helps in the growth and regeneration of skin cells. It helps in removing wrinkles, acne, blemishes and keeps the skin bright and beautiful.

  • Carrots helps in improving eyesight, preventing night blindness and reducing the risk of cataracts.

  • Skin becomes dry quickly in winter. Eating carrots will eliminate the potassium deficiency in the skin and maintain the moisture of the skin.

  • Carrots are rich in vitamin C, vitamin E and antioxidants. These help in increasing the body's immunity.

  • The vitamins and minerals present in carrots are effective in preventing hair loss. Carrots reduce hair loss, make hair strong and strong.

The benefits of nuts:

Excessive cholesterol in the body causes serious diseases like heart disease, high blood pressure, weight gain and diabetes. The extraordinary effective fat of almonds helps in reducing cholesterol from the body. Moreover, these nuts also help in reducing body fat. You can eat a handful of almonds every day to reduce cholesterol in the body.

The benefits of raisins:

  • Raisins are helpful in improving digestion.
  • Curing anemia.
  • Preventing heart disease.
  • Strengthening bones.
  • Improve eyesight.

  • Collect fresh and crunchy vegetables and fruits.
  • Prepare the recipe according to the rules shown in the challenge.
  • Chop them finely so that you can enjoy the taste. Do not mix with too much pressure while mixing, as this will make the salad too soft and the water will come out.
  • Keep it in the fridge for a while, it will be better to eat it a little cold.
  • Of course, pay attention to the quantity because if the salt or sugar is too much or too little, the taste of the food will be ruined.

Yo realicé la mía tal cual como indicó la Chef. Sin embargo, la volví a realizar y le agregué mango y cebolla. Ésta versión quedó ultra sabrosa 😋.
