1.Do you like the desserts made ftom milk ?? Share some examples of desserts that you make from milk at home.

Of course, I have always liked any sweet dish made with milk since my early childhood. I have always enjoyed milk a lot. While many girls are indifferent to milk, I am the opposite; I often make various dishes or sweets with milk at home. Notable among them are halwa, semai, payesh, kheer, etc. These are deeply intertwined with our Bengali culture. I frequently prepare various kinds of desserts with milk at home.

I often make these dishes at home with milk. The first is chitai pitha soaked in milk, followed by rice payesh made with pulao rice, then there are cottage cheese made from milk and vermicelli, etc.

2. Make any one of the recipes that you like most from milk, with a detailed step-by-step procedure along with images.

Today,I will make mixed fruit custard. This is my first time making it; I have never made it before, so let's check out today's recipe.

The process making Mixed fruit custard

1000030730.jpg1000030731.jpg

🟧 First, I placed half a kilogram of milk in a pot on the stove. After that, I poured in sugar and then let it simmer on low heat for about eight to ten minutes.

🟧 Next, I took four teaspoons of vanilla custard powder in a clean bowl, dissolved the powder with a little water, and poured it into the milk while continuously stirring.

🟧 After that, for about five to six minutes, while continuously stirring with a spoon, when the custard paste thickens, I turn off the heat. My work for the first step ends here, and I have left it under the fan to cool down.

🟧 I have boiled a cup of water in the stove, then poured banana-flavored jelly powder into a clean bowl.

🟧 After that, I poured the hot boiling water into the bowl and mixed it continuously with a spoon until the jelly powder dissolved. Then, I poured it into another plastic bowl to let it set.

🟧 Now I have washed the fruits and cut them beautifully into small pieces for layering and decoration. Here I have taken three pieces of cake, one small orange, one small apple, some dates, raisins, and almonds.

🟧 Now I have taken a clear glass bowl and arranged the cakes inside it. Then I added some chopped apples and chopped oranges on top of the cake. In the third layer, I added this custard. Then in the fourth layer, I again added chopped apples, chopped oranges, chopped dates, and raisins.

🟧 In the fifth step, I covered everything with custard again, then I took a bowl of jelly and cut it into pieces using a knife, and placed the jelly in a circular shape on top of the custard.I didn't find it very nice to look at, so I arranged all the fruits again by chopping them and placing them in this jelly circle.

🟧 Now I put it on the refrigerator for 2 hours.

3.Do you face any difficulty during making this recipe.

Honestly, this is my first time making mixed fruit custard. I have never made this dessert before, although I have made various types of desserts with milk. Today, I was very worried about whether my jelly would set and whether the custard mixture would thicken with the milk. Alhamdulillah, everything turned out fine, but when I added the custard powder to the milk, I was a bit delayed, so it got a little clumpy. After that, I managed to fix it by beating it by hand. Also, I needed bananas, which I couldn't find in the stores nearby today.

4.At what occasion do you want to make your dessert.

Especially these desserts are usually made during Eid. Besides, I enjoy making them when guests come over for hospitality. However, the place where I live in the village does not have a tradition of these desserts. But my younger sister is coming to my house soon, and I will make this for her again on the occasion of her birthday, Insha'Allah. It will be delightful to make this dessert for various happy occasions or good news.
