✓ Name, location and hours of the establishment

The place I’m talking about is Bir Muktijoddha Hotel & Restaurent which located in the New market adjacent to Shaheed Minar, Parbatipur. The railway station is located next to this restaurent. It’s a quite popular spot among locals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Since the restaurant is located right beside the railway station, it’s always quite busy with customers. Many travelers who are in a hurry stop here to have a quick meal before catching their train.

Inside view of the restaurant

It’s a convenient spot where you can enjoy good food and buy something to eat during their journey without worrying about missing your schedule, that’s one of the main reasons this place remains popular throughout the day. This restaurant usually open around 6:00 AM and stay open until 2.00 AM, which is perfect for early risers like me who love to start the day with hot hotchpotch or flat bread and tea.

✓ Social networks

Most local restaurants around here don’t really have any social media presence and Muktijoddha Hotel & Restaurent is no exception. They don’t have a Facebook or Instagram page, but despite that, the restaurent enjoys a strong local reputation. People keep coming back because of the taste, friendly service, and quite consistency in their food. Even without online promotion, their name has spread through word of mouth, and that’s what keeps the tables full every morning.

✓ Please detail the breakfast menus you offer. (Quality, price)

The breakfast options are simple here but personally some breakfast items are truly satisfying. You can smell the aroma of freshly cooked breakfast items as you walk past the kitchen and enter the restaurant.

Breakfast Menu

At Bir Muktijoddha Hotel & Restaurant, you’ll find a wide variety of breakfast options. From traditional khichuri and lentils to different types of naan and sweets everything here feels freshly made and flavorful. Whenever I visit, I can smell the aroma of different foods, bread being fried and tea being poured that’s when I know my morning is about to start right.

The price of sweets here starts from 20 BDT or 0.16 USD per piece, though some are more expensive depending on the type. Their sweets display always looks tempting, with a variety of flavors to choose from.

As for yogurt, it is priced at around 300 BDT or 2.46 USD per kilogram. The quality is decent, and it’s a popular choice among customers who want something light and refreshing.

1000049588.jpg
The aluminum cooking pots are kept near the entrance. These cooking pots frequently include hotchpotch and halim. But I am not sure that they always keep these items

Some items like hotchpotch, tea feels homemade, warm and freshly prepared. Prices are very reasonable, which is another reason people keep coming back.

✓ Payment methods

This restaurent mostly accept cash. I haven’t seen any customers using mobile banking for payments. I didn't notice any QR code for mobile payment. If you don't have cash, they might give you their bKash or Nagad number where you can pay through the bKash/Nagad app. Because now all restaurant owners have mobile payment options even if they don't promote it. It’s convenient if you’re carrying cash.

✓ Other points that you consider relevant to mention, (Parking, bathrooms, etc.)

In front of the restaurant, there’s a small parking space where a few bikes can be parked comfortably. However, there’s no parking area for cars, so most people prefer to walk or come by motor van.

While the customers were using this facility

There’s also a hand-washing area inside, which is clean and easy to use. A mirror is placed right in front, so you can freshen up your face before or after eating. I find that a thoughtful touch, it shows they care about basic comfort and cleanliness for their customers.

✓ Details about its facilities, structure, atmosphere, service

As soon as you enter the restaurant, you’ll notice the shelves of sweets on the right-hand side, displaying different types of local sweets that look really tempting. On the left side, there’s the kitchen area, where you can sometimes see the staff preparing hot parathas or naan.

1000049637.jpg
Thhe cash counter is visible in the right side

A little further inside, on the right, you’ll find the cash counter, and beyond that is the main seating area for customers. The layout feels simple yet well-organized, everything is placed in a way that makes it easy to move around without feeling crowded.

1000049669.jpg
There were many customers in the restaurant

The interior of this restaurant really impressed me. The entire place is beautifully decorated with tiles from floor to wall, and the wall tiles have nice artistic patterns that give it a fresh and modern look.

1000049686.jpg
Ceiling fans, lights, tiled walls and air conditioning units

Each glass-top table is set up for four people, which makes it comfortable for small groups or families to sit together. On every table, there’s a glass and a water jar, which I think is a very nice touch, it feels neat and well-organized.

1000049621.jpg
Water bottles and glasses. Each table has such bottles and glasses

Since it’s a modern restaurant, it’s fully equipped with lights, fans, and air conditioning, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. What I liked most is their kitchen setup, it’s clean, well-arranged, and you can actually see how organized they are while preparing food.

An elderly restaurant staff member. I had a good relationship with him

The staff here are truly wonderful. I know one of the staff members personally an uncle I’ve seen working here for many years. Every time I visit, he greets me warmly with a smile, and his polite behavior always makes me feel welcome.

1000049659.jpg
While Uncle was on duty. He was taking something in a small bowl for the customers

Their friendliness and attentive service really add to the overall experience. It’s not just about food here, it’s about feeling valued as a customer, and that’s something I deeply appreciate.

✓ Describe your personal experience and the reasons why you like this location

The food quality has improved a lot compared to before. But to be honest, the sweets here still don’t impress me much, I feel they could definitely improve their sweet quality to match the standard of their other dishes.

1000049672.jpg
One kind of barfi (Dessert)

Their Red Tea is one of my favorites. It’s simple, flavorful, and feels refreshing after a heavy breakfast. For me, it’s the best drink this restaurant offers.

1000049662.jpg
A view of the kitchen

Overall, I find the prices reasonable, even a bit cheaper than Shah Hotel for some items. The environment is pleasant too with good lighting, fans, and air conditioning, making it a comfortable place to enjoy your meal.

✓ Which of the breakfast options offered at the restaurant is your favorite and why? Explain your answer in detail

My most favorite breakfast item at this restaurant is the hot and flavorful Hotchpotch (Khichuri). I usually like to have it with a bowl of Dal (lentils) in the morning. Compared to the famous Shah Hotel in our town, I actually find the taste of Khichuri here even better, it’s softer, more balanced, and feels freshly cooked.

1000049680.jpg
Delicious Hotchpotch

There’s something special about having Khichuri with Dal in the morning, it gives me a warm, energetic feeling and makes my day start with positivity.

1000049759.jpg
I received this combo where I got a full plate of hotchpotch, an extra plate of hotchpotch if I need, salad and dal. This combo cost me 60 BDT or 0.7407 USD or 6.06 STEEM

Apart from Khichuri, I also enjoy Paratha with Dal, though lately I’ve been avoiding Paratha in the morning since it tends to be a bit oily.

1000049563.jpg

The prices are also very reasonable, one plate of Khichuri costs only 30 BDT, an extra portion is 20 BDT, and a bowl of Dal costs 10 BDT.

✓ If you had the chance, what breakfast dish would you add to the menu?

If I ever got the chance to add an extra item to the breakfast menu, I would definitely include a fried egg.

Eggs are not only delicious but also very nutritious, and since they’re rich in protein, having one in the morning gives a good boost of energy for the rest of the day.

I’d prefer it to be lightly fried in a small amount of oil, served alongside Khichuri and Dal, that combination would make a perfect and balanced breakfast in my opinion.

Final Thoughts

Bir Muktijoddha Hotel & Restaurant** is one of the most underrated restaurants in our town. I have so many beautiful memories here sharing food, laughter, and long conversations with friends and brothers.

Places like this are not just about eating; they become part of our nostalgic moments and emotional connections.

That’s why I truly wish this restaurant continues to improve its food quality and regain its lost glory. It deserves recognition for being a quiet yet meaningful part of our local community.
