Nope! Alexa says that steemit is more popular in USA, UK, South Korea and India . Here you can check yourself https://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/steemit.com But I guess it might be due to the fact that Alexa and Google have different data sources. They do converge on South Korea however.
Is the stats provided by Google about traffic or search terms?
Search terms. Google Trends simply plots the data of searching so it is not given for granted that the person searching steemit will end up visiting the site.
