RE: Be A Cool Kid: Upvote Your Own Sh*t! - [DTube Exclusive]

Yes. Though most of them already have my upvote because they are on the curation trail I delegate to.

The only posts that I don't necessarily upvote if I comment on them are #introduceyourself posts. I try to do a bunch of those every few days if I can, and I try to write meaningful and thoughtful responses and comments to newbies. I wouldn't have any SP left if I always upvoted those, however, I don't always upvote those comments of mine either! :)

Thanks so much for clarifying, Beth.

I'm on day 80 or so here on Steemit, soooo much to learn, including the different perspectives on basics like this. Will be paying more attention to your stuff. ;)

I always go through the #IntroduceYourself post too but I make sure to upvote to encourage because most of them don't make a thing. Before, that upvote was usually $0.00 though. ;)

Recently I got a very kind 100 SP delegation and now my upvote is worth $0.04 on a full tank. I was so happy to be able to give $0.01-$0.03 upvotes to spread it around to more and more peeps, especially newbs.

But when I learned two weeks ago of the dust $0.00-$0.019 rounded down rule, where even comments that are $0.02 may not get paid out, I've increased my upvote on newb comments that don't have any other $$ value upvotes to $0.03-$0.04.

Because I'm still so new I suppose, I remember how it felt to note get a thing for seven long days on many of my posts.

I feel it for those who post their hearts out every day and don't even get one upvote, much less an upvote they'll get paid out on.
