RE: Helpful Tips for New Steemians to Cut OUT the Spam!

Anther golden nugget by you. A mentorship for willing new Steemians. Yep, your rag was a prime example of not understanding what a tag means. #tendaysofreflection is a photographic challenge and a simple read through of almost any post using the tag would tell you
A) who initiated it
B) what it is!

@Whatsup recently "adopted" @BrandyB and now she is looking to pair people for "adoption". I think it's an exciting idea....but it wasn't originally my idea. It's a shame I didn't come up with it, cause I think it's freaking brilliant! Here is the post where I read about it.

Interesting I just picked up @brandb over in @eastcoaststeem
And yeah unless it was a mishap I ALWAYS credit whoever came up with the actual challenge... seems like common sense but we all know that's not so common anymore

Oh yeah, it was always steemians that I don't know....I'm thinking they assume if they got tagged then the person who tagged them initiated the challenge, I don't think its malicious.

Lol, I've seen several posts where someone credits another steemian with hosting/initiating the challenge and I'm like..."um, that was me but whatevs...." but I don't say anything.

Happens to me too. I have had a couple of tags hijacked, even though the posts are not even relevant. I even used my own tag for a while just to help me keep track of all my posts and then people started using it! so, I just gave up using it. I’ll need to check to see if it is still being used, because it is associated with my business. Lol!

That's crazy. I really don't get why people use tags they don't understand!

We have a lot of people who don't understand English, so they don't know what the tags mean. Sad, really.
