RE: Helpful Tips for New Steemians to Cut OUT the Spam!
No, I don't consider it spam, I know it's you so it just points out who you are =)
No most of the photo challenges don't per say require you to watermark them. As you've seen I use simple markings on my photos that are actually just called labels in my phones photo editing program.
There are some who are adamantly against the use of any images that aren't explicitly your own. However, I've always heard from being involved in the art community on fb that public domain images such as those from pixabay were okay again, stipulating that you say they're from pixabay. So maybe for the spiritual messages see what pixabay has.
I guess I'll pay attention to the winners and see if anyone is using a watermark there. Something that doesn't get in the way too much and yet makes it difficult to reuse by cropping.
I think my banner also brightens up the reply area. :-) (Though I still will normally only use it once per post - partly because I'm lazy, lol.)
Lol. Well it would become a bit redundant too probably in a string of replies. I don't think the watermark is a requirement at all. For you always seem to have a lot to say about your photos to include your process, what you use etc. Just if you didn't want the image stolen...
