RE: Are You An Active User? (Experiment #2)

in #steemit7 years ago

Glad to know that I'm on the top 400 people based on the number of my comments. I commented more than 11,000 times in steem blockchain during almost a year and half here.

I also agree that automation is not always good. I ask to follow the trail of the community @dcooperation I'm building, at least with 1% just to be in our automatically daily posts. But I do all the upvotes manually. Because only with manual curation we can make it fair. Of course it's not always easy thing to do, but it's the better way. I just track people here : http://www.steemreports.com/outgoing-votes-info/?account=dcooperation&days=14

And I upvote them depending on how much they delegate or contribute to the community.

I hope more people will do manual upvotes and this is the best way to make us all grow.

I hope also that people will upvote each other fairly, not whales upvoting whale, dophin upvoting dolphins and minnows upvoting minnows. This is what I see happening now. We are all people, we are all the same.

i completely agree with what you said and i am also upvoting everything manually. I am not against using dapps/curation trails/autovoting services cause sometimes i even consider it a must. Think of someone working a lot and still wanna reward some friends and people he/she finds interesting so in a way these services are more than welcomed.

My issue is that like in real life automation makes thing easier but also make people distant. People in here overuse these services and don't bother to interact with each other and build relationships. Also as i mentioned in my post with all these the actual number of daily active users is far more less. I do agree so much with your following statement!

I hope also that people will upvote each other fairly, not whales upvoting whale, dophin upvoting dolphins and minnows upvoting minnows. This is what I see happening now. We are all people, we are all the same.

Also, i won't upvote the comment due to the low prices but i promise to check your posts upvote and comment some of them! (engagement and interaction is always better!)

Thanks for the nice reply. Don't worry about upvoting the comment, I don't upvote comments at all. I think we have to save our power for posts to motivate people. Because people spend so much time writing posts and doing their best to get their posts noticed and they need that support. A lot of people don't like me because I don't upvote comments, but this is who I am, I try to reward those who really deserve it.

About engagements, I hope you will join @dtube . I was posting for 11 months in steemit for pennies and I almost left steem blockchain, but after joining Dtube, I improved a lot. Not only in engagement, but also in building relationships. I even met a few steemians after that and I'm building now a very good community, where we all collaborate and support each other. I hope you will think about joining Dtube, because I feel you like me 7 months ago before joining dtube. I really like your thinking. I wish you all the best.

yea i completely understand your logic for the comments. I try to reward some of them (not now that the prices are like that) but for that particular post i just wanted to "give back" a little something to those that actually replied. Sadly my full upvote now worth 5cents but still i gave to mostly anyone commenting a small upvote (1-2cents worth) to one or more of their posts!

Generally my priority is to upvote and make some comments depending on time, to the ones i follow! Also, i am not a dtube guy :P i don't like showing my face or at least showing it all in any social media so for now i will keep as it is! Because i am almost 2 years here i completely understand the difference Dtube can make both in engagement and wallet ;)

I hope to see you in dtube, you can also follow @nathanmars and participate in his ideas. He delegated to dtubers a lot of steem power, and maybe if you will decide to jump to dtube , you will also get some delegations. The ideas of #dtubesnap are really doing well now. We are curating them to help everyone grow and be excited about steem blockchain. Steem blockchain is really great if we use it the proper way, but using most apps built on it. I didn't undertand that before, but now I see that without those apps it's almost impossible to reach somewhere. And more and more are building now. I'm sure about the good future of steem because all apps. We have so many interesting developers and you can see that at steemfest video presentations, I don't know if you were in steemfest or not, but I watched a lot of videos there and they are all building something really huge for the long run of steem. You can watch those videos here if you want : https://www.youtube.com/c/steemfest/videos.
