RE: Is this encouraged? Speak of gaming the blockchain
A few possibilities:
- the person is a photographer worried about others using their work and violating his/her copyright in the future, so takes down the image before it becomes permanent.
- the person is using someone else's photographs and doesn't want it shown in the future that he/she was earning money off someone else's copyrighted material, which would open them up for legal action
- the person cycles through the same photos again and again, deleting then reposting to make a small body of work "earn" longer
I personally hadn't considered that loophole, nor will/would I use it, though I do wish I could earn on content for longer than 30 days, maybe that's the motivation?
You can find a conversation with that dude in my blog, either the deleted resteemed post or in my replies. It's his new business model, he said it. Today i got the reward for criticising his action, and had a look again, just to see he's making maybe 10 posts a day or so and at the 7 days mark all empty (most)
I think the motivation is either afraid of dmca, or too stupid to watermark his work if he's so concerned.
Thanks for your replies guys, at least i now know i'm not the only one not approving of it
