A lot of people go through what you went through, in the beginning. I watched it happen countless times since I came here in November of 2016. It's actually pretty natural I think, I'm just an unusual case. I knew what my books were going to make first year off the shelf on Amazon. I saw what just putting one book through, chapter by chapter, made here. That created a unique perspective I think ;)

Just make sure you're having fun, reach out and meet people, and don't take a 'bust' post personally man. Cheers!
