Hi, Sam!! Thank you so much, my friend! I love when we do #MarketFriday in Ghana! It has been the experience of a lifetime! It makes me want to jump on a plane and see for myself!
For now, Steemit will have to do
These structures are permanent, I can see that, but, can you tell me... do the same people occupy the same space week after week or is it on a first come, first serve basis? Do they rent or purchase the space? Funny enough, there are places where they buy the space. I was surprised to hear that.
You have opened my eyes to the way the markets are presented. Different places serve a different clientele, don' they? Are the markets more popular than the supermarkets? Are the supermarkets more expensive or less? Sorry for all the questions. I just find it very interesting.
I want to know what they are feeding those GIANT onions!
Thank you, a hundred times over. I love your markets and am so happy that you share a part of your life with us here on Steemit! Have a wonderful night and the best weekend ever!!
Upped and Steemed with an extra tip!
Hahahah...it will be a great pleasure if steemit could get some of us sponsored on a trip so l invite you @dswigle here one friday...l would still connect you with my friend @sweetsssj maybe she can help you out with her travel experience...most of these markets you see are a very big market areas which every individuals rent the spaces...once paid the space becomez yours always for your business..it ceases to be yours only when you are unable to renew the contract..thats giving to another person...and they do pay huge amount of money to occupy such a small portion ...there would be space reserved for vegies, space for yams and tubers..others for cereals etc...and stuffs at these areas are less expensive than being at a well established supermarkets...Traditionally this has been the typical Ghanaian market...not untill recently that modern life has introduced supermarkets and malls...you experience real life situations in there...we usually call them petty traders...expert more and more next week sweetheart...steem on
Wouldn't that be an experience? I have never been to Ghana! ;)) Thanks for the info on how the market works. These markets are much more preferred by me than by a supermarket!
Trust me...you would love being here...am afraid you @dswigle might be tempted not to get back to your family.lol
:) I am sure you are right! :)
