of genius!

If vote buying is purely about reaching a bigger audience, then vote buyers shouldn't mind declining rewards.

After all, they arent wanting to rape the reward pool by receiving rewards not voted to them by a noncolluding other, right?

And it's not like they are losing the money they pay for the vote, it will be divided between all of us that get votes.

Their donations will pay us all for having to put up with their ads taking up space on our hot and trending pages.

Genius, I tells ya, genius.

Now, I can see why they may object if nobody else minds being a rapist and doesn't decline payout.

So, we should all downvote those that buy votes but don't decline payouts.

We wouldn't want to be seen as soft on abuse, now would we?

We can start with @transparencybot's list to get the worst of them first.

It looks like I am going to have to adjust my voting habits to leave some room for the rapists.

I hope you will join me in defending the value of our votes from those that take away from them with their greed.

check your freebornsociety account, you have 1000 sp extra. :-)

Well, will you look at that?
Its our first donation on steem.
Thanks for pointing it out, no telling how long it would have taken me to notice.

Hooray...who done did dat...???

Krnel.
He went on vacation and delegated a bunch of stake.

If earning rewards is a bad thing then feel free to give me all of yours. :) lol

Earning rewards is the whole point of the platform.
Buying them defeats the purpose.

Any rewards not voted to you by a noncolluding other are ill gotten gains.

If people want to sell their votes and earn a ROI why not let them? I think it helps the value of steem.

Because they come to dominate the platform and push out the people that dont want to pay to play.

Steem was predicated on helping others, not grabbing it all for yourself.

I don't need it all. 10% of a trillion dollar platform would still be $100 billion. :) lol

Right, all you got to do is take the dollars away from the venezuelan users that can eat all month for the price of one of your lattes.

I think they'd be better off with 10% of $1 trillion vs 10% of $1 billion.
I don't do caffeine so I'm not sure what I would blow my money on. I think I'd try and buy better leadership but that might only cost $1 billion.

Its just a fact in the math, vote sellers take food out of the mouths of folks that dont need all that much to get by.
Left to the minnows, steem gets mass adoption and the price goes to equalibrium.
Raped by the crapitalusts it flounders along enriching the insiders at the expense of the new fools.

Thanks for this...I'm new on here and just getting to grips with this system. It's nice to find someone with sound morals. I was hoping for meritocracy on here...I guess it's not as straightforward as that. Interesting to see how this platform evolves over time.

Welcome, aboard.
There is definetly a learning curve.

Thanks, I feel more like an anthropologist than a contributor at the moment but I'm sure that'll change over time.

Yep, you will catch on, just keep putting out your content.

@freebornangel You have received a random upvote from @looktothefuture because this post did not use any bidbots.

If you use the the #nobidbot tag as one of your five tags on future posts, you may be selected for a random upvote from @transparencybot.

Love the lead in!

Also, the post is right on.

Ive been singing this song since before they forked to allow it to happen.

I was not around then, but I have read many comments that were made before the fork, predicting exactly what is happening now.

Problem is of course, greed is running the show. It will take a significant alliance or near total collapse of the platform before there is a sufficient will to turn back the dial.

Blessings!

Yep, stinc chose scammers over mass adoption.
Changing things now will require them to admit they were wrong.
Not much hope of that at this point.

Instead of filtering for rep, you might consider only voting those with less than 10mv.

Yes, I'm afraid you are very correct.

There are two random-upvote filters. This one that does look at higher reps, but have not used the #nobidbot tag. You can only received this vote once a month at most.

Then the main upvoter which does not use any matrix other than they used the #nobidbot tag and it is not NSFW. This occurs as long as the bot has at least 75% VP.

I am looking at creating an organic trending list and also a curated list from the #nobidbot tag.

Got to go for the night, thanks again for the support!

Wow, thanks for your delegation, it will help us with the random upvote!

No problem, you are providing a service i find valuable.

very good post and impressive once, frankly I really like to follow and read a very useful post like your post
