Great experiment! I'm finding that curation is not yielding anything valuable (yet), but comments and blog posts are increasing my SP. I'd love to see your experiment expand into posting comments, maybe a welcome message like @wang used to do. Are your bots increasing their reputation score?
You cannot have an increase in the reputation unless you post/comment and people vote for your posts. Only upvoting does not change your reputation level, nor does it bring any SBD rewards, it may only further increase your Steem Power.
I have some ideas for a bot that can come by if you invite it to visit your post, but nothing like what @wang used to do as I did not like it actually.
So it looks like it would take a long time for your bots to build their SP just from curation rewards. It will be interesting to see what useful tasks bots can perform. I had some comment on my posts when I started, but not seen one in a while.
I want to get into some coding around Steemit eventually. Need to find the time
