RE: (IJCH) Playing the Obscure, "Mystery Minnow" - Will the Whale Respond? Or Am I Committing Steemit Seppuku with this Post?

in #steemit8 years ago

I'm sorry I only am now getting to your comment. My "Code Is Law" post was a draining piece of creative work, and after sifting and replying to the first 200 comments (particularly good ol' personz, who preferred to attack straw-men)...I was a bit exhausted.

I don't really know how to respond to your greater concern. I think minnows can be successful here...but what is success?

Further, the truth is that I didn't "become successful" here until I bought my way to mini-whale status. Frankly, I'm not even sure this is what I'd call "success". I make far less on Steemit than my other jobs, and I work harder at it. I've lost a lot of money buying Steem... even after all my post rewards, is that success?

There are the 3 biggest votes on my post:

  • minnowbooster +52% ≈ 91.62$
  • bellyrub +34% ≈ 79.07$
  • buildawhale +20% ≈ 39.41$

$210...I bought all 3 of them. Is that success?

Thank you for your comment/post.

@lexiconical,

Thanks for being such a good sport.

But now that everyone knows you're a cool guy, who the Hell can I poke fun at? (Damnit).

Lol!

And all kidding aside, if everyone puts all kidding aside, they would blow a fuse or jump off the bridge, no?

Namaste,

JaiChai

P.S.

Oftentimes, wealth is the byproduct of brilliance, not the aim...

Imagine that?
