51 years ago: U Thant meets Daw Khin Kyi at Delhi's Palam airport.
Daw Khin Kyi (widow of General Aung San) was then Burma's ambassador to India. U Thant was in Delhi to mediate a ceasefire agreement at the end of the 1965 Indo-Pakistan war.
