RE: Helpful Tips for New Steemians to Cut OUT the Spam!

in #steemit8 years ago

I was guilty early on of dropping my link in another related blog. Very embarrassing when I read elsewhere that it was frowned upon! Never did that again. I get irritated with the posts that are just YouTube trailers for movies that are new, or a famous band video. If you didn’t make the video, you really shouldn’t be profiting from it, but some of those empty posts get a lot of upvotes. Anyway, good post with lots of good information.

It's less bad if it's related but obviously still not a good practice. Yeah early on there was a group I was involved with of which there became an issue because a member just plopped a you tube link and the lyrics. THAT'S IT. like no originality at all. I don't see how those posts make anything but there's a lot of stuff i don't get. Thanks for your comment and best of luck on your future steemit success.

Thanks! Yeah, I like to write about horror movie recommendations, and I was looking for other horror fans. The persons page I posted on was about movies, but I saw the error of my way. Steemit is a weird, but interesting place.

Sounds like you're getting the hang of it though :)
