You could fake the eyeball count. It's ripe for abuse..
qft. It would be trivially easy to manipulate the eyeball count. the only reason no one does (that we know of) is that it has no effect on anything. the moment it starts to matter, it will be manipulated.
true. I still think there must be a way to sort the posts by actual popularity and reads. There must be a way.....
