Nice of you for mentioning the whales and witnesses, of course they are good people. Wouldn't you if you had that kind of SP. It doesn't cost a cent to upvote and you make money off curation.
Lets give a shout out to those who are not whales and witnesses who freely give their service to the newbies coming in and don't know steemit from a hole in the ground. Those are the true unsung heroes of the platform because they don't make curation, or sbd usually they are just as new, but they give of themselves freely because they want the kind of community that exists in that way.
