Excellent advice @anneke, have raised three children myself I have to agree with you on all points. There can be awkward moments, when you look at your teenager's dress sense or hear an expletive which would have shocked a sailor but with understanding and being there when needed, we can greatly reduce the negative effects. The brain rewiring goes on all your life, it's just at that very malleable age that one needs to steer and guide with love. I am proud of all my children and their achievements, although I must admit to wanting to throttle them on occasion. Upvoted and resteemed.
