I think it's safe to say its proven death penalty does nothing to prevent crime or else the dark ages in Europe would have solved that, and there would have been no criminal elements left to flee. The native americans and the aboriginals would still own their own place and southamerica and africa wouldnt have been raped in the name of god and fatherland
