Buying votes takes rewards from other people. Let the community decide what your posts are worth.
Buy or not it is an idividual decision of a Stemian. Because of a friend's recommendation, and have little funds.
However it is also an individual decision, not necessarily in cyberspace like this should be dropped each other, if there is a problem yes enough in warn. Not drop.

You can do what you like, but the community has a say on where rewards go. That is how Steem was designed. You can work with or against it. Isn't it better to have people appreciate what you do? I want Steem to grow, but greed could kill it.
