Steem Photography Awards - August 2017 Holyrood Park Sunset
This is my entry for the #steemphotoawards by @myday. This months theme is landscapes so I though I’d share this one I took in early May. Its the St Anthony’s Chapel ruins that sit in holyrood park overlooking a large pond at sunset.

View the full high resolution version here on my 500px page.
This shot was taken with a Canon 5dmkii with a 17-40mm lens. This is an HDR of three exposures processed in photomatix and lightroom.
Thanks for Looking.

What a fantastic shot live the evening light night n that old castle so cool
Thanks mate! I was lucky with this one too, just seconds later three guys came up and sat right in my shot until after the sun went down. So I'f I hadn't gotten this one I wouldn't have gotten it at all :)
Then you we're fated to get this shot :)
This is a fantastic shot absolutely love it
Thanks, I'm really happy I got it and that it turned out so well :)
You should be :)
I like how you decreased the clarity of the photo to make it dreamy! and the sunset makes everything smooth!
Thanks! I wanted to give it a slight fairy tail kind mood to it :) You have some great photography in your blog, I am following you now :)
Thank you! I did the same too and hopefully we'll be growing together.
I look forward to it! :)
I am the Great Cornholio! Would you like to see my portfolio? I have a portfolio in my bunghole, with my óleo!

Great shot! I think I used photomatix before, but then switched to making HDR in camera raw, have you tried it?
I have not tried it. I've tried HDR in photoshop and Aurora HDR but i'm most familiar with Photomatix and I'm starting t get good results with it now.
Amazing HDR landscape photo. Love the rays of sunlight
Thanks! :)
Love that place! I got lost in the fog once trying to get up to Arthur's Seat.
Oh no! I hope you were still able to make it to the top?
