Interesting Christmas “Coins”
Today I received the funkiest of coins.
They are NOT your typical #ssg fare, but they do have their own collectibility and charm. ☺️
Princess Leia on a coin!!! Star Wars is the first movie I ever saw in a theater! I was THREE!!! It was a drive-in and this began a life long obsession. I had the action figures, the 12 inch dolls, books, records, dressed as Leia for Halloween and fully wanted to grow up to be Princess Leia. She was brunette (like me), sassy, sharp, in charge, intelligent, passionate and beautiful. All things I wanted to become when I grew up. So getting this coin as a belated Christmas gift front my husband was an excellent surprise. She is silver plated brass with a colorized image. The coin is real currency, one Niue dollar. It was issued in 2011 with a low mintage of only 50,000. This is number 3503, still in its original packaging. 😍

This gift is from my in-laws. They know I collect coins (but maybe don’t get the type of coins... 😂🤣). As they are Australian, I am forever their American daughter in-law. As such, Captain America was at the top of their list for me. ☺️ 🇺🇸
Again, this is a coin. It’s a Fijian half dollar with a mintage of 50,000. The coin is silver clad and I have no idea what is on the inside. Here have a peek at the back.

You can't go wrong with Star Wars and Marvel Collect-ability and Numismatic value together.
Seems like a good mix to me, even if the coins aren’t pm’s some movie buff will like this stuff.
They look cool dfinn but i just can’t get myself to buy colored coins. I have one lunar that was a gift that’s it.
The beauty is these were gifts too, so all good for me. ☺️
