This is the 5 Ounce Armenian Noah's Ark Coin. A beautiful and underated coin.
The Reverse of the coin Features Noah's Ark on Mount Ararat. With the Dove of Peace and the olive branch (the symbol of peace) And a Sunburst in the back ground.
The Obverse of the coin features the "Republic of Armenia" National coat of arms and the face vale of 1000 dram on the 5 ounce coin, the fineness of Ag 999 and "Republic of Armenia" in both English and Armenian.
The coin designer was Eduard Kurghinyan

I can't believe they have 5 kg coins, those have got to be pretty impressive. I am working on a year set of the 1oz ones, but a few years behind.
Yes 5kg must be huge.. It will be nice to see once you've completed the one ounce set
I really like these coins. I. Managed to pick up a few of these (1oz)back last year for spot(private sale). I believe that they still sell relatively cheap with little premiums. So if I were stacking for weight I'd definitely be looking at adding more of these to my collection.
Yes they are more of a straight bullion coin but you can get them from quarter ounce up.. So a cheap way for maybe kids to understand stacking and building a collection
